2026 Community College (社大) Arts Advocacy: Patchwork Art Exhibition—Hand-stitching Home Maps in Memory (手縫記憶裡的家鄉地圖)
"Community College Arts Advocacy 2026: Patchwork Art Exhibition—Hand-stitching Home Maps in Memory" (手縫記憶裡的家鄉地圖) delicately presents the creators' deepest emotional connection to the land of Lugu (鹿谷) through every stitch and thread. It also demonstrates the abundant results of community college arts and culture courses transforming into public cultural energy.
This exhibition takes "a group of people doing one thing together" as its core spirit. Under the guidance of instructor Tang Ai-qin (湯愛琴), students returned to their respective villages to re-examine the most familiar scenery of daily life. They transformed fragments of life—such as paths home, park corners, and suspension bridge images—into textures and color blocks in their patchwork. For the creators, the needle and thread in their hands are not just for joining fabric, but are more like untangling the emotional threads between themselves and their hometown, giving the originally flat maps warmth and depth through the injection of life stories.
