2026 Indigo Dye Teacher Training Workshop (115年藍染教師培力工作坊) [Online registration opens March 25th at 13:00 (3月25日13:00線上報名)]
To promote the integration of crafts into school education and foster the roots of craft aesthetics on campus, this teacher empowerment course aims to cultivate school teachers as 'craft seed teachers.' It is hoped that teachers will integrate indigo dyeing techniques, aesthetics, and the spirit of craftsmanship into their teaching, inspiring students' creativity and perception of life, and practicing the sustainable life philosophy of 'Living Craft, Craft Living' and 'Slow Life (SLOHAS).'
This workshop provides systematic craft knowledge through introductions to indigo plants, vat-making demonstrations, and hands-on practice of techniques such as fold-and-stitch resist dyeing, hammer dyeing, and fresh leaf dyeing. This includes materials, tools, techniques, and processes, building participants' basic understanding and practical skills in indigo dyeing craft, enabling them to return to schools to develop and implement indigo dye experience courses.
