2026 Miaobei Experimental Theater: Dance Theater "Formosa Viva!" (福爾摩沙 萬歲！)

An innovative masterpiece of dance × video × history. "Formosa Viva!" (福爾摩沙 萬歲！) is a dance theater piece creatively conceived by producer Ho Kang-kuo (何康國) and co-created by choreographer Wu Yi-fang (吳義芳) and arranger Chris Babida (鮑比達). Through more than 10 pieces of music, it strings together 500 years of Taiwan's history—from Indigenous, Dutch, Ming, Qing, and Japanese periods, all the way to post-war martial law, the lifting of martial law, gender equality, and diversity and inclusion. Gathering a professional creative team, it interweaves dance movements and video to showcase Taiwan's resilient and colorful cultural landscape.

The main tasks of the center are as follows: constructing an exchange platform for performing arts teaching resources, integrating the publication of performing arts-related journals to establish a "Performing Arts Knowledge Database" for use in performing arts teaching at all levels of schools. Undertaking related commissioned projects, organizing various forums, lectures, workshops, and performance activities related to performing arts education, industry, management, and development. At the same time, organizing a permanent administrative team to promote performing arts exhibitions and train arts administration talents.
