The ever-creative Dance Forum Taipei will use familiar pieces such as Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the Flowers" and Bach's "Air on the G String" to lead everyone from auditory perception to unexpected physical movements. Through the interaction between music and dance, experience the "heartbeat" brought by performing arts.
Recognized by the Taipei Culture Award, Dance Forum will also perform excerpts from Japanese masterworks "South" and "Lunar Water," which feature vastly different dance styles and inspirations, allowing everyone to further feel the charm of art.
Dance Forum Taipei
A leading innovator in Taiwan's contemporary dance scene, founded in 1989 by National Award for Arts winner Ping Heng. To date, it has collaborated with 58 choreographers and 187 artists to create 92 works, performing nearly a thousand shows across Taiwan and in 40 cities in Europe and America. Since 2008, it has focused on international co-productions, collaborating with renowned European theaters and dance companies. In 2019, it was honored with the Taipei Culture Award for its "comprehensive perspective on the depth and breadth of performing arts, creating unique and indispensable cultural value."
