"24/7::: Repetition and Layering in Creation" Children's Art Education Exhibition

Date: 2026-01-01 — 2026-08-09 Organizer: (中華民國)石孟鑫、何彥諺、莊惠琳、張永村、廖修平、廖繼春
"24/7" (twenty-four-seven) refers to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is a common idiom in the English-speaking world used to describe a non-stop daily cycle. Have you noticed that every day in life is repetitive? In these "repetitive" days, we grow up unconsciously, and time slowly "layers" our appearance.

In fact, artistic creation is the same! In the world of art creation, "repetition" means repeatedly using the same texture, shape, or color, while "layering" creates new changes through the superposition of different elements. For artists, through countless practices and experiments, a unique creative style is slowly accumulated in such a repetitive cycle.

The exhibition uses new works by contemporary artists to re-view and discuss the classic creations of senior artists, building a bridge for dialogue between adult and child audiences. It aims to respond to this year's (2025) keyword of the Taiwan Children's Art Base (臺灣兒童藝術基地), "#LookFromAnotherPerspective (#換個角度看)," through a shift in perspective, hoping that both adult and child audiences entering the exhibition can understand "repetition" and "layering" in artistic creation in an interesting way.
