Aesthetics, Architecture, Museum: Han Pao-teh's (漢寶德) Southern Genealogy (南方系譜)

Han Pao-teh (漢寶德, 1934–2014) was an important enlightener of architectural and aesthetic education in Taiwan. This exhibition uses "Southern Genealogy" (南方系譜) as a hidden thread to present his practice of "Mahayana Architecture" and his footsteps in creating the National Museum of Natural Science and the Tainan National College of the Arts (now Tainan National University of the Arts 國立臺南藝術大學), ranging from reforming architectural education and historic site preservation to the museum system. It also features "Ink Traces," displaying his original calligraphy and daily objects, inviting the audience into his aesthetic daily life and inner world.
