Wei Jing-yi (魏靖儀), a laureate of the 2015 Queen Elisabeth Competition, is a highly anticipated young violinist; his playing is a subtle balance between explosiveness and depth, emotionally sincere and philosophical.
In the 2025 season, Wei Jing-yi will embark on a US tour with pianist Steven Lin (汪奕聞) and collaborate with Ding Yi Music Company (鼎藝室內樂團) in Singapore; return to the Berlin Philharmonic Lunch Concerts, and perform with the German Neuro-Orchestra.
In 2024, he released the album 《Antu》 (安土), co-conceived by Yunlin Dunren Hospital (雲林敦仁醫院) and composer Che-Yi Chang (張玹), using music to soothe mental health patients. Born in Tainan (臺南), Wei Jing-yi has received art awards. He currently plays the 1722 Stradivarius "Joachim-Elman" violin sponsored by the Chi Mei Foundation (奇美基金會).
