Carpenter's Dream, Joyful Meeting in Miaoli (喜見苗立): HDG Woodcraft Creative Exhibition (懷德居木藝創作展)

Miaobei Art Center (苗北藝文中心) invites the HDG Woodworking School (懷德居木工實驗學校), which has long been dedicated to woodcraft education and promotion, to present its selected woodcraft creative achievements. Since 2004, HDG (懷德居) has continued to revitalize traditional woodworking crafts through research, education, and practice, enabling the spirit of small-batch production to respond to contemporary life. In 2023, it was awarded the 'Taiwan Craft Award - Collaboration Award' by the Ministry of Culture.
This exhibition selects works from the 'Jupiter Project' (木星計劃), 'One-Day Woodworking Camp' (一日木工營), and themed classes held by HDG Woodworking School over the years. It features woodcraft creations with diverse themes such as bicycles and violins, presenting the rich appearance of woodworking between daily utensils and contemporary aesthetics. At the same time, related publications will be exhibited, inviting the audience to appreciate the warmth and depth carried by woodcraft from the aspects of skill, space, and life.
