Changhua Christian Hospital (彰化基督教醫院) Historical Artifact Exhibition
On November 29, 1896, British Dr. David Landsborough (蘭大衛) and Rev. Campbell N. Moody (梅監霧) arrived in Changhua (彰化) together. They selected the central region as their base for medical and missionary work. Since then, Changhua Christian Hospital (彰化基督教醫院) has become the origin of Western medicine in central Taiwan. They brought Western medicine and technology, as well as Western education, civilization, and humanistic thought. The Changhua Christian Hospital (彰基) History and Artifacts Museum is a living archive. Through our designed historical contexts, artifact introductions, every image, and every artifact, the history and stories of the hospital are told, reshaping the humanistic history of the hospital, and seeking exemplary figures of the hospital's spirit, so that this generation of hospital staff can re-examine and determine our future ideas and values and learn from experience through the beautiful footsteps of our predecessors.
