Chiu Ai-chen (丘璦珍) "The Final Guardian" Watercolor Solo Exhibition
Exhibitor: Teacher Chiu Ai-chen (丘璦珍)
Chiu Ai-chen uses the "Leopard Cat" as the core of her creation, stemming from deep affection for her hometown of Miaoli and concern over ecological loss. She regards the Leopard Cat as a symbol of life in Taiwan's shallow mountain habitats, using the unique transparency and layering effects of watercolor to delicately depict the symbiotic scenes of leopard cats with mountain forests and flowers.
Through the process of repeatedly studying the leopard cat's expressions and continuing to paint even when her hands were swollen, she hopes to use her brush to speak for silent lives and let the public see the beauty and vulnerability of the leopard cat. Through charity auctions, collaborative exhibitions, and cultural and creative designs, she transforms art into actions to protect leopard cats, conveying the reflection of "The Final Guardian" to viewers.
