Coming Home: The Story of Xiaolin Village (回家：小林村的故事)

"Coming Home — The Story of Xiaolin Village" (回家—小林村的故事) permanent exhibition includes four units: Home in Memory, The Vanished Home, Days in Prefabricated Houses, and New Home Life. Through oral memory videos, artifacts, models, and interactive games, it presents in a root-seeking exploration style how the Taivoan (大武壠) people, recorded in early documents as "Sizhe Pingpu" (四社平埔), came to this land to build their homes and continue their traditions; it also depicts how the Taivoan descendants who experienced the disaster showed resilient will to rebuild their homes together. It is hoped that the exhibition will present the stories of this land and, through the villagers' feelings of returning home, lead everyone to explore the traces of ancestors' lives on this land and the gradually forgotten and vanishing traditional culture, telling the story of Xiaolin (小林) Village from before the storm, through the disaster, to reconstruction.
