Performer Introduction


Violin | Chih-Chang Hsueh (薛志璋)

A full-time Assistant Professor at Taipei National University of the Arts, he has served as the second violin principal of the Detmold Opera House in Germany, associate concertmaster of the Macao Orchestra, concertmaster of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, concertmaster of the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, and concertmaster of the Taiwan Connection Orchestra. Invited guest concertmaster roles include the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Philharmonic, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and Hong Kong Sinfonietta.



Viola | Hsien-Hsiu Tsai (蔡弦修)

Studied for a Master's degree in performance at the New England Conservatory from 2015 to 2017 under Dimitri Murrath. He studied viola with professors such as Liu Meng-Hao, Chen Mei-Ling, Yang Jen-Chieh, Ho Chun-Heng, and Chao Yi-Wen. He is currently a violist with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra and teaches at the music department of Taipei Municipal Zhongzheng Senior High School and the Department of Music at Tunghai University, where he teaches viola and chamber music.



Cello | Victor Coo (高炳坤)

A Filipino-Chinese cellist. He holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts from Michigan State University. He is currently the principal cellist of the Taiwan Connection Chamber Orchestra and the cellist of the Voyage String Quartet, a full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Music at Taipei National University of the Arts, and an adjunct professor in the Department of Music at National Kaohsiung Normal University.
