Creative Life - 2026 Tsai Jung-yu (蔡榮祐) Solo Exhibition
This exhibition looks back on Tsai Jung-yu's (蔡榮祐) creative journey with pottery since the 1970s. Born in Wufeng in 1944, he returned home in 1977 to establish "Guangda Art Garden" (廣達藝苑) and held his first solo exhibition in 1979, igniting a kiln fire that has not ceased for half a century. His creations are always rooted in life, ranging from daily ceramics such as tea sets and flower vessels to sculptural ceramics and experiments in "using pottery to create stone," responding to nature, time, and inner states. The nature of the earth, the temper of the fire, and the color of the glazes transform into a warm and quiet language through repeated firing.
The exhibition includes 12 early paintings, 4 design drafts, and photography works themed on flowers, landscapes, figures, and textures, showing the source of his observations of life. It also features 73 ceramic works, 15 ceramic monographs, and one bronze sculpture "Reunion" (重逢), fully laying out a ceramic artist's cross-medium creative trajectory, inviting viewers to approach the silent landscape of a man who has practiced art and guarded his original intention for a lifetime.
