Creative Life - 2026 Tsai Jung-yu (蔡榮祐) Solo Exhibition Guided Tour
The exhibition, themed "Creative Life," looks back on Tsai Jung-yu's (蔡榮祐) creative journey with pottery since the 1970s. Tsai Jung-yu was born in Wufeng, Taichung in 1944. He returned home in 1977 to found "Guangda Art Garden" (廣達藝苑), dedicating himself to the kiln fire and igniting a creative path that has not stopped for half a century. His art is rooted in life, starting from daily ceramics like tea sets and flower vessels, extending to sculptural ceramics and experiments in "using pottery to create stone," responding to nature, time, and inner states. The quality of the clay, the tempering of the fire, and the flow of the glaze settle into a warm and restrained language through repeated firing. In addition to exhibiting 73 ceramic works and multiple monographs, the exhibition also presents his early paintings, design drafts, and photography works, as well as the bronze sculpture "Reunion" (重逢), fully laying out his cross-medium creative trajectory. It invites viewers to approach a ceramic artist who has practiced art throughout his life and guarded his original intention in silence.
