I. "Yi-Ge Splendor" (藝閣風華) Themed Book Fair
Taiwan possesses a rich and diverse folk culture. Among them, Beigang's (北港) "Yi-Ge" (Art Float) activity is an important form of folk performance in temple processions. It not only showcases the passion of folk beliefs but also integrates drama and craftsmanship. The Yi-Ge floats are magnificently decorated, and the characters are portrayed vividly. It is a concrete manifestation of local arts and collective memory, holding high cultural and artistic value.
To promote public understanding and appreciation of traditional arts, this library has specially curated this art book fair themed on "Yi-Ge" activities. It invites the public to step into the artistic world of Taiwan's traditional culture, understand the historical and aesthetic significance carried by Yi-Ge processions, and further stimulate interest, concern, and appreciation for Taiwan's traditional arts, fulfilling the core spirit of local cultural education.
II. "Hand Dancing and Feet Moving" (手舞足蹈) Themed Book Fair
During the process of a child's growth, they develop curiosity and explore various things. Regarding intimacy and sex education, how to teach often makes adults feel difficult and embarrassed. Sometimes it's hard to gauge the timing, or whether being too detailed provides correct guidance; sometimes it feels too academic and disconnected from life.
Cognitive learning of body awareness and sex education is an important foundation for children's understanding of their bodies and self-protection. Combined with understanding and thinking about sexual issues, it leads children to develop self-judgment skills, which then transform into the ability to make personal choices regarding relationships with themselves and others.
This book fair selects various "Body Awareness" themed books, inviting parents to plan reading time with their children. Through co-reading, children are led to know their bodies, explore and understand the boundaries of body safety, and learn how to protect their own safety and respect the bodily boundaries of others.
