Endless Life - Yang Guo-bin (楊國賓) Pottery Exhibition

Yang Guo-bin's (楊國賓) inspiration for this collection stems from the realization of being 'born from the earth.' He said: 'Through observation of the living environment, I see trees growing from the soil and fallen leaves returning to the earth as nutrients. By combining burnt wood ash with clay, using both hands to blend and mold them into vessels, and through the kiln fire, I let them be reborn once again.' On this land, he is inspired by both the earthy breath revealed by trees and the form of vessels presented by clay, both of which are rooted in the essence of earth. He carves these emotions through concave and convex, thick and thin, simple and complex, and rhythmic lines, as well as vine-like handles shaped from clay coils, drawing out the vitality born from the earth. The flowing green and ash glazes further transform into images of nature. People and objects exquisitely crafted from nature are reflected in a spiritual flow where reality and void mirror each other, invisibly enhancing cultural refinement and sparking the creative inspiration of ceramic artist Yang Guo-bin. He hopes that this ceramic creation can convey the spiritual philosophy and aesthetic form of 'Endless Life' to the viewers.
