Exhibition at Hsu Mu (許木) Rural Artifacts Memorial Hall
The Hsu Mu (許木) Rural Artifacts Museum was established primarily to commemorate the late parents of Chairman Hsu Chia-chung (許嘉種) of this association. The name "Hsu Mu" is the name of the Chairman's father. Chairman Hsu's father, Mr. Hsu Mu, started from scratch. In his early years, he was employed as a handyman. Due to work needs, he often had to carry goods back and forth between Nanshizhuang (南勢庄) and Lukang (鹿港). Through hard work and frugality, he eventually accumulated wealth and gradually purchased land, laying a solid foundation for today's DEPO (帝寶) Industrial.
The site of the memorial hall was selected next to the DEPO Industrial Lukang factory. After hiring famous designers, the style of the artifact museum was set as a double-connected Dragon Sanheyuan (三合院) style. Construction began in 2005 and took nearly two years, finally completing in mid-2007. During the construction process, the museum also actively collected traditional rural artifacts. After more than half a year of preparation, the Hsu Mu Rural Memorial Hall finally held a grand opening ceremony at the end of 2008.
The hall contains many traditional rural tools, allowing everyone to understand the scenes of traditional rural life.
