Fongshan (鳳山) History Classroom

Fongshan is one of the early developed areas of Kaohsiung. During the Qing Dynasty, compared to the Zuoying Old City (左營舊城), it was known as the Fongshan New City (鳳山新城). To promote the cultural charm of the Greater Kaohsiung Fongshan city and drive local tourism opportunities, the "Fongshan (鳳山) History Classroom" was established on the first floor of the Dadong Arts Center (大東文化藝術中心) Administrative Building. It showcases the history and culture of Fongshan New City, temples, historical sites, Fongyi Academy (鳳儀書院), local delicacies, and characteristic street blocks. The exhibition contents include images of the Twin Cities Ancient Path, cultural site diagrams of Fongshan New City, Cao Gong Canal (曹公圳) culture, blacksmithing tools, publications, and food models, introducing Fongshan's history and various information on food and fun.
