Hakka Daily Life in Colors (色彩裡的客家日常) / Civil Affairs Department, Hsinchu City Government (新竹市政府民政處)
This exhibition takes "Color × Life × Hands" as the curatorial main axis. Through daily handmade clues such as indigo dyeing, Ai-ban (艾粄, mugwort rice cakes), and vegetation, it leads everyone to re-see how the Hakka ethnic group transforms natural materials into color memories in life. From gathering and dyeing cloth to kneading ingredients, every process contains the simple, diligent, and land-approaching life philosophy of Hakka people. Walking into the exhibition hall, you will see the gentle flowing power of culture between color scales and textures.
✨ Exhibition Highlights:
🟦 The Beauty of Layers in Indigo Dyeing
Presenting the tacit understanding and rhythm between the Hakka ethnic group and nature with the light and dark color scales of handmade indigo dyeing.
🌿 Natural Gathering × Daily Textures
