Founded in 1966, Hikousen Theater Company (日本飛行船劇團) is a beloved Japanese children's musical puppet group, surpassing even Disney stage plays in popularity. With about 180 professional members, they have performed in over 20 countries, dedicated to bringing world-famous fairy tales to the stage.
Their actors undergo extensive training to perform as retro-style puppets with exquisite costumes and sets. Combining music, dance, and drama, they present the truth, goodness, and beauty of fairy tales, offering both artistic impact and educational value.
Performed by live actors in puppet suits (the puppets themselves are silent), the Taiwan performances feature full Mandarin Chinese dubbing and vocals.
