Hung Ken-shen Art Museum Permanent Exhibition
Hung Ken-shen (1946-), a native of Dingwan Village, Huxi Township, Penghu County, is a renowned modern Chinese ink painter in Taiwan. After graduating from the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University, he returned home to teach for a year before moving to Kaohsiung, where he taught at Kaohsiung Municipal Kaohsiung Senior High School and National Kaohsiung Normal University. He became a representative artist through his contemporary ink creations and was deeply involved in the modern art movement in southern Taiwan, exerting a profound influence. He is also a mentor figure in the transition of Taiwanese ink painting from "modern" to "post-modern." To honor his outstanding artistic achievements and contributions, the county has dedicated this historical building as his exclusive art museum and continues to promote the development of modern ink art.
