Ink in the Quiet Bamboo Forest: Wu Tsung-fang Bamboo Brush Calligraphy Art Exhibition (幽篁湛墨-吳棕房竹筆書藝展)
Wu Tsung-fang (吳棕房), born in 1955 in Nantou's Huangshan, has in-depth research into calligraphy, painting, seal carving, tea art, and elegant stones, and collects many literary and artistic works. After discharge from the military, he studied calligraphy under Mr. Chu Chiu-ying (朱玖瑩), the master of Saozhou Studio (掃帚齋). His seal carving was enlightened by Teacher Hsueh Ping-nan (薛平男). The works in this exhibition use bamboo brushes made of bamboo for calligraphy, giving the calligraphy more life and a 3D line feel, while adding color makes the lines more dynamic and vibrant.
