Before arriving,
Allow yourself to wander.
Some feelings
Can only be encountered
Within the interstices.

"Interstice Wander" focuses on the state of transition,
Those feelings that haven't been clearly defined yet continue to influence our inner selves;
In the gaps of transition, we are not in a hurry to arrive, but rather stroll and feel the process as it happens.

I use painting as a record of perception, between the flow, stagnation, and white space of the paint,
Capturing the abstract traces left by emotion and time.

"What I am painting are the indescribable, not-yet-named feelings that flow within the inner space."
【About Artist】
Chiang Geng-hui (Geng Hui Chiang)
Studied in an art studio, majored in Interior Design at university, and has a background working in antique art galleries.
These experiences slowly accumulated to become the nourishment for my creations.

My work focuses on abstract painting,
Skilled at using texture and color
To present the ordinary yet beautiful existence of daily life
And explore the flow of life and inner perception.

The works pursue a fluid state between the controllable and uncontrollable.
Inspiration mostly comes from daily observations and a fascination with the traces of time,
Which further transforms into a pure and concise artistic vocabulary.
I am also adept at breaking the flat painting format by incorporating shallow sculptural expressions into the works.
