Love Lacquer Life - Liu Yu-cen (劉于岑) Lacquer Art Teachers and Students Joint Exhibition (愛漆人生-劉于岑漆藝師生聯展)

We hope to bring the beauty of nature into daily life through lacquer painting creations and both artistic and practical bodiless lacquerware and life lacquerware. We invite everyone to appreciate the lacquer art of life, allowing your thoughts to follow the works into the uniquely warm and mysterious world of lacquer art. New generation thinking and ideas collide with traditional craftsmanship to create brilliant sparks.

The works in this exhibition combine traditional lacquer craftsmanship with modern styles, with the mission of promoting lacquer art culture, inheriting lacquer techniques, and improving the quality of lacquerware, allowing lacquer craftsmanship to regain its vitality. Lacquer art creation can settle the mind. A total of 78 three-dimensional and two-dimensional lacquer art works were created for this exhibition, including techniques such as eggshell inlay (卵殼貼付), mother-of-pearl inlay (螺鈿鑲嵌/Raden), variegated coating (變塗), lacquer coating (髹漆), gold leaf (金箔), Makie (蒔繪), Kanshitsu (筴紵脫胎), ice crack (冰裂), and Zhaoming (罩明). Through the different colors and transformations of lacquer materials, it presents a colorful and delicate feeling. Some use the natural texture of wood as a creative base, presenting a rugged and simple feel. Combining the gentle luster of lacquer craftsmanship and rich surface decoration, it presents a different craft expression.
