To stop the disaster, the imp convinces a celestial maiden to join him and the formidable Black Sky on a dangerous journey spanning a thousand years. Facing hatred, obsession, and self-denial, the imp repeatedly sacrifices himself to help Xiao Mei learn to forgive herself, pluck the "seeds of evil" from her heart, and walk toward the light of reincarnation once more.
