Changhua City actively promotes religious culture. The construction of this museum began in February 2006, was completed in April 2009, and opened on April 25, 2010. It is a seven-story building that serves as a public space combining relic displays, cultural exchange, and local tourism accommodation. It features a Mazu relic exhibition room, multi-functional display spaces, a conference hall, and comfortable guest rooms.

The museum primarily introduces the origins and history of Nanyao Temple Mazu and preserves related cultural relics and historical materials, collects Mazu-related relics, and exhibits other cultural art pieces. Supported by the integration of Changhua City's tourism industry, it hosts diverse humanistic activities. The museum will prepare guest rooms for accommodation, becoming a new attraction for visiting Changhua City's scenery and history, and creating another new development opportunity for the revitalization of Changhua City's historical sites.
