Mei-ge Li (李美格) Palace Senior Painter Solo Exhibition

Date: 2026-03-08 — 2026-03-29 Organizer: (中華民國)李美格
Palace senior painter Mei-ge Li was born in 1947 into a scholarly family in Beijing. She is a descendant of Li Lianying, the chief eunuch who was most favored by Empress Dowager Cixi of the Qing Dynasty. She has practiced painting since childhood and is ambidextrous, writing with her right hand and painting with her left. Her works are vivid, elegant, and refined.

The late master of calligraphy and painting, Mr. Dong Shouping, once remarked on Mei-ge, "Her figure painting features fluent lines and harmonious colors; she is a rising star in the meticulous heavy-color (gongbi) style."

This time, in collaboration with Master Li Feng-shan, a master of self-cultivation, a charity solo exhibition is being held at the Meimen Garden (防空洞) restaurant in Ximending. Together, they promote culture and raise funds to spread love in society. Everyone is welcome to appreciate the timeless paintings of this Qing Dynasty princess (Gege).
