Memory Packet — Wu Chien-yi 吳芊頤 Solo Exhibition 《記憶封包—吳芊頤創作展》
As the year ends and a new one begins, Miaobei Art Center 苗北藝文中心 especially invites artist Wu Chien-yi 吳芊頤, who uses masking tape as her primary creative material, to exhibit a series of works full of festive atmosphere. This special exhibition continues the context of the artist's 'Window Pattern Series' 窗花系列 from recent years, transforming collage symbols, light and shadow layers, and spatial structures into landscape works that can be surrounded and traversed through the form of 3D models. Window patterns serve as a medium for memory, symbolizing the interface of exchange between people and time, inner and outer; traditional window pattern designs are digitized and made transparent, embedded in acrylic and light sources, forming floating light and shadow memories. The work also combines the symbolic meaning of New Year bonsai, creating landscapes and old-year objects within the models, expressing the concept of 'packets' — temporarily storing memories, blessings, and fragments of life in space. The overall landscape is like a memory container that can be interpreted by light, where viewers feel the flow and renewal of time while moving. This model serves as the spatial prototype for the series, attempting to transform the flat window pattern vocabulary into a three-dimensional field of time, showing the layering of memory, the breath of light, and the quiet resonance of the human heart between New Year nodes.
