Miaobei (苗北) Lunar New Year Exhibition Series 1: 'Pens Blooming in Spring (筆綻春光)—Ballpoint Pen Art x Floral Design' Joint Exhibition
Spring is the season when all things sprout, a symbol of rebirth and hope.
Miaobei Art Center launches the joint exhibition 'Pens Blooming in Spring (筆綻春光)—Ballpoint Pen Art x Floral Design' during the Lunar New Year, combining the delicate strokes of ballpoint pen art with the natural language of flowers to welcome the most vibrant time of the year.
Taiwanese ballpoint pen artist Kuo Yung-chi (郭永吉) uses unique and exquisitely refined pens to depict Taiwan's mountains, rivers, culture, and flora. The deep affection in his work not only records the landscape but also serves as a tribute to nature. Simultaneously, florists from the Hsinchu County Floral Arrangement Association—Tseng Yuan-ping (曾媛娉), Lu Hua-yen (陸華燕), Chiang Huai-ying (姜懷英), Wei Shun-hua (魏順華), and Liu Kuei-yu (劉桂玉)—respond to the colors of spring with diverse forms, transforming natural life into flowing poetry.
When the lines of the pen meet the blooming of flowers, the two arts intertwine into a chapter of spring light in space.
