Miaoli Hakka Treasure Class - Hakka Related Workshops (January-March, 2026)
To let the public understand Miaoli Hakka culture in a friendly and interesting way, the "Miaoli Hakka Treasure Class: 100 Whys Opening Miaoli Memories" special exhibition is structured in the classroom context of "Enrollment - Class - Graduation". Through five major theme courses and 100 question designs, it guides the public to re-understand Miaoli landscapes, industries, settlements, beliefs, and life memories in a simple, relaxed, and interactive way.
In conjunction with the exhibition, one Hakka-related workshop is planned every month. From January to March, there are "Dyeing a Touch of Mountain Town Blue: Indigo Dyed Hakka Square Scarf DIY" (Jan 31), "Molding the Hakka Reunion Taste: Rainbow Glutinous Rice Ball Magnet" (Feb 28), and "Floral Cloth Tapping Joy: Floral Cloth Massage Hammer Hand-made DIY" (Mar 7). Continuing the spirit of the exhibition, the Miaoli Hakka culture and life memories presented in the exhibition are transformed into participatory hand-made experiences, inviting the public to deepen their understanding of Hakka culture through actual operation!
The courses are free to participate in, with limited spots. Online registration for the first workshop is now open until full. Adults and children are welcome to register together. For other registration and activity information, please check the official website of the Cultural and Tourism Bureau of Miaoli County Government (https://www.mlc.gov.tw/), the "Maoli Arts" (貓裏藝文) FB fan page, or contact Ms. Cho of Wendesign (文森設計) at 03-5200852, or Ms. Hsieh of the Hakka Affairs Section of the Cultural and Tourism Bureau at 037-352961 ext. 319.
