Miaoli Senior High School 27th Art Class Graduation Exhibition "10.5g Soul" (苗栗高中第27屆美術班畢業美展《10.5g靈魂》)
Does the human soul have weight? 21g—an American doctor once weighed a soul. 10.5g is half the weight of a soul. It is the imprint of memory carved into the body, the trace left behind after emotions have matured.
In this exhibition, 16 graduates engage in a dialogue through media to capture snapshots of themselves: Chang Yun-cheng expresses the emptiness and anxiety in virtual and real worlds; Hung Chien-shan uses computer "shortcuts" to capture "plastic beauty," satirizing the replicated faces of the era; Chen Mu-hsuan expresses the struggle between freedom and restraint in a small space. We sincerely invite you to visit the "10.5g Soul" exhibition and experience us—those "selves" that are not yet complete.
