洄游觀瀾 Migrating and Observing Waves - Lin Zhen-qin (林振欽) Solo Exhibition
Lin Zhen-qin (林振欽) is a native of Hualien. He majored in Industrial Technology Education for his undergraduate and master's degrees and earned a Ph.D. in Science (Science Education Media). A typical STEM professional, he loved ink wash and watercolor in his youth but never received systematic painting training. He lived and taught in Kaohsiung for over forty years and retired from National Kaohsiung Normal University (高雄師大) in 2021. He served as the director of the General Education Center and devoted himself to general education courses, always remembering to learn across fields and integrate humanistic connotations. He believes technology comes from human nature and complements humanistic arts. This hidden humanistic passion and love for art led him to decide to apply for the Graduate Institute of Fine Arts just before retirement, receiving academic art training and achieving remarkable creative results.\r\nLin Zhen-qin was born in the countryside of Hualien, and his childhood memories of the fields became the entry point for his creation and the medium through which he depicts his deep affection for the land. With his artistic talent and dedication to sharing, the nearly seventy-year-old continues to create and has won numerous awards. This exhibition features themes such as "Our Land's Stories," "Sea and Sky Travels - European Sketches," and "The Lotus Series," fully demonstrating his feelings for natural ecology and humanistic care.
