"Modern Hwa Kang (現代華岡) · Artistic Heritage (藝術薪傳)"

The 2025 academic year Hwa Kang Museum special exhibition "Modern Hwa Kang · Artistic Heritage" will grandly open on September 15. The exhibition brings together the deep heritage and vibrant strength of Taiwan's artistic development over half a century of art education at this university, witnessing the inheritance and innovation of the artistic spirit.

The exhibits include more than ninety works across various media such as Chinese and Western painting and photography, featuring the "Three Masters from Across the Sea" (渡海三家) Chang Dai-chien (張大千), Pu Xinyu (溥心畬), Huang Junbi (黃君璧) and their students, as well as successive art teachers of the university such as: Sun Duoci (孫多慈), Mo Dayuan (莫大元), Chen Dan-cheng (陳丹誠), Jiang Yihan (姜一涵), Zeng Houxi (曾后希), Lu Foting (呂佛庭), Li Meishu (李梅樹), Ma Baishui (馬白水), Jin Qinbo (金勤伯), Wu Xuerang (吳學讓), Shi Zichen (史紫忱), Lang Jingshan (郎靜山), Li De (李德), Chiang Chao-shen (江兆申), Au Ho-Nien (歐豪年), Cheng Shan-hsi (鄭善禧), Hsu Kun-cheng (許坤成), Zhou Zhe (周哲), and the "Twenty-four Scenes of Hwa Kang" (華岡二十四景) by alumni. It showcases the legacy and contemporary spirit of art education at Chinese Culture University (文化大學).
