My First Bamboo Weaving Class (我的第一堂竹編課) 【Bamboo Craft Regular Course (竹工藝常態班)】

Beginners / In the first four classes, you will practice:
[Class 1] Using a section of Taiwan Giant Bamboo (烏葉竹), initially understand the processes of splitting, dividing, thinning, and sizing bamboo, and learn the "degreening" (去青) method for bamboo strips in traditional practical bamboo ware, finally completing a small piece.
[Class 2] Starting from scraping the green layer, learn the material preparation process for Makino Bamboo (桂竹).
[Classes 3 & 4] The teacher will arrange suitable weaving projects based on the students' material preparation status.
The teacher may adjust the course content based on the actual learning situation of students.

Advanced learners (with experience in bamboo material preparation):
For students with preparation experience, to avoid wasting time in class, please indicate your proficiency when registering. The teacher will arrange projects according to your level. You can prepare the required bamboo strips at home and bring them to class to start weaving directly. You can also discuss with the teacher in the first class!
