The 5th Floor Special Exhibition Area Where History and Culture Blend ~ The Great River Flows East: From Hobe (滬尾) to Tamsui (淡水)
Time: 1/2 (Fri) - 12/30 (Sun) 08:30-17:00
Location: Tamsui (淡水) Branch 5th Floor Exhibition Area (No. 65, Wenhua Road, Tamsui District)
Phone: 02-2622-4664 ext. 224
Introduction:
It gathers precious historical materials from over a hundred years, including photography works by Dr. Tsai Kun-huang (蔡坤煌) authorized by the first Tamsui District Director Tsai Yeh-wei (蔡葉偉), hoping to fully present Tamsui's cultural depth. The special exhibition is structured around "Port, River, Mountain, Transportation, City, and People," showing Tamsui's transformation and inheritance in the torrent of times, presenting Tamsui's unique appearance and water transport stories. We invite you to embark on this journey of exploration across time and savor Tamsui's past and present.
In this cultural landmark with a beautiful sunset and river view, photographer Chen Jin-long's (陳金隆) "Happy Events in Tamsui: Corridor of Time" (喜事淡水:歲月迴廊) works echo the joy of the library's reopening. The 5th floor special exhibition space is not just a venue for displaying history, but has become a cultural platform connecting the past and present, witnessing Tamsui's wonderful transformation from a small fishing port town to a cultural hub.
Note: Closed on national holidays and library cleaning days.
