Permanent Exhibition of Indigenous Environmental Education (原住民族環境教育常設展)
Environmental education is an educational process that emphasizes the relationship between people and their environment. Through the educational process, the whole people can obtain the ethics, knowledge, attitudes, skills, and values needed to protect and improve the environment. Its purpose is to develop, understand, and value a reasonable treatment relationship between human culture and its biological and physical environments. The Taoyuan City (桃園市) Indigenous Cultural Center is for "cultural preservation and promotion" of Taiwan's indigenous culture. Through exhibitions that combine tradition and modernity with local life and art, it transmits environmental ecology and life knowledge. It is an important window for understanding indigenous knowledge and a vital venue for learning and experiencing indigenous culture. From the professional guides in the hall, citizens can establish environmental protection concepts of cherishing the environment and ecology from indigenous knowledge, allowing participants to feel the close relationship between indigenous people, culture, and the environment, while taking into account the meaning of cultural education, making it an important facility for learning and experiencing indigenous culture.
