Since the late Ming Dynasty, Taiwan has begun to have a large number of written records. Before that, it belonged to the prehistoric period. According to archaeologists, there were signs of human activity in the late Paleolithic Age, about 50,000 to 10,000 years ago. Prehistoric sites range from the Paleolithic, Neolithic to the Metal Age, with ancestral activity sites everywhere. To let the audience feel as if they were on the scene, special models and charts have been made to glimpse the long river of Taiwanese human history.
