The story follows a young girl who walks through a door in her new home and discovers another version of her life. This parallel reality seems identical to her real life on the surface, but even better. When this strange journey turns dangerous and her other-world parents try to keep her in this alternate dimension forever, the girl must use her determination and courage, along with the help of her neighbors and a talking black cat, to save her real parents and some ghost children and return to her true home.
