Reminiscing the Old Days: Special Exhibition of Childhood Memories Illustration Collection (懷念舊時光－館藏童年記趣圖繪特展)

Academia Historica's Taiwan Memorial Museum houses a collection of 100 folk illustration works by local painter Mr. Huang Jin-tian (黃金田), focusing on daily moments of early Taiwanese children such as field games, nature exploration, and farm chores. To encourage the promotion and application of public historiography and enhance understanding of Taiwan's history, 55 pieces have been specially selected for public display for the first time. The works are divided into four themes based on their artistic conception: "Childhood Play," "Creative Ingenuity," "Pastoral Fun," and "Farmhouse Daily Life." Painter Huang Jin-tian, with his rich life experience and keen perception, vividly depicts the daily life and childhood fun of early Taiwanese people through warm and delicate brushstrokes and vibrant, soft colors, presenting various aspects of life in the old days. At the same time, the exhibition hall features physical exhibits and interactive traditional toys, leading viewers of different generations to experience the joy of "returning to the original heart" through a visual and tactile exhibition experience.
