Saisiyat Folklore Museum 'Original Echoes' Weekend Arts Performance: Lalowa’ Band (賽夏族民俗文物館「原聲迴響」假日藝文展演:喇魯哇(lalowa’)樂團)
To enrich the cultural content of the two indigenous museums, attract public attention to the diversity of indigenous cultures, and drive the development of the tourism and leisure industry, the Miaoli County Government has carefully planned the 'Original Echoes' Weekend Arts Performance series. Among them, the Saisiyat Folklore Museum in Nanzhuang will host 28 arts performances from February 17 until the end of the year, while the Atayal Museum in Tai'an will feature 80 performances by indigenous groups and bands. The public is invited to enjoy these traditional dance and music performances full of 'original flavor' and experience the beauty of indigenous culture.
This year's arts performance series revolves around the theme 'Original Echoes.' 'Original Sound' represents the unique music, dance, and ballads of indigenous peoples that carry historical and cultural weight. 'Echoes' signifies the hope of promoting indigenous culture through arts performances and generating a resonance. The use of the word 'echo' (迴) also implies rotation and cycling, symbolizing the continuation and heritage of indigenous music, dance, ballads, and art.
The Saisiyat Folklore Museum Weekend Arts Series will feature one performance each in the morning and afternoon by street performers or groups daily from February 17 (Lunar New Year's Day) to February 19, 2026. On February 20 and 21, there will be one street performer show each day, for a total of 8 performances. Furthermore, from February 28 to December 12, on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, 10 performances each by street performers and groups will continue, totaling 28 arts performances.
