"Sonic Waterfall II" (音瀑Ⅱ) - A Topological Soundscape for Saxophone
Following the 2025 "Sonic Waterfall" project, the Pick Up Sound Ensemble (拾音人樂集) continues to explore the integration and creative possibilities of the saxophone within contemporary musical language, instrumental experimentation, and performing arts. Continuing the core spirit and original team of "Sonic Waterfall," "Sonic Waterfall II" expands the musical vocabulary to the cultural dimensions of three different countries. Inspired by "topological theory," it ponders the "change" and "constancy" in musical performing arts. Can sound present a constant stillness within the flow of time? This question finds echoes in the works of many 20th-century composers.
