Soul of the Caster: Casting Technology of Yin and Zhou (殷周) Bronze Wares Exhibition

This exhibition is divided into two parts: The first part uses text, images, and videos on the exhibition walls to introduce the casting of bronze wares, including the discovery of ceramic molds, raw materials for bronze, melting copper, and the restoration experimental processes and results of ceramic mold making. The second part features bronze-casting related relics from the collection of the Institute of History and Philology (史語所), displaying copper-melting materials, and ceramic molds and master molds for casting vessels such as Jue, Gu, Tiliang You, Fangyi, Ding, chariot and horse fittings, and weapons. It also introduces the early research and experimental results on ceramic molds by senior scholars of the Institute of History and Philology (史語所).
