Taichung Municipal Library Xingan Branch (臺中市立圖書館興安分館) ~ Diverse Reading / Story Volunteer Reading Club (2026)

Organized in collaboration with the Taichung Mountain, Sea, and Plain Story Association (臺中市山海屯故事協會), this program guides participants through a systematic exploration and study of book structures and narrative contexts to deeply understand text layout, narrative rhythm, and thematic arrangement. Simultaneously, it discusses the roles and perspectives of illustrators, authors, and publishers in the creation and publishing process, fostering an understanding of the interaction between text and images and market positioning to cultivate diverse reading perspectives.
Activities also focus on the core values and spiritual essence of books, reflecting on how stories respond to life experiences, emotional education, and social concern, transforming them into warm storytelling content. Through practice and exchange, participants learn various book guidance techniques, such as inquiry-based guidance, situational connection, image interpretation, and cross-age reading strategies, to promote reading comprehension and interaction.
It is hoped that this will encourage more citizens to actively participate in social service, join the ranks of library volunteers, and jointly promote a gentle and profound reading blueprint.
