Tainan University of Technology Department of Dance 7-Year Integrated Program Class 115 Graduation Production "Screaming Days" (日子尖叫)
"Screaming Days" symbolizes those undeniable emotional calls on the journey of life, revealing the loneliness and struggle that people inevitably face in the process of seeking self and breaking boundaries to grow. The stage is like an isolated island; dancers use their bodies as language, transforming daily suppressed emotions and sharp life feelings into physical rhythm. Modern dance, relaxed and free yet containing great power, and classical dance, "supple without leaking, strong without being clumsy," interweave and collide under the choreographer's unique artistic perspective and creative techniques, moving from superficial differences to deep fusion. Every leap and pause of the dancers seems to interpret the weight of days and the sharp tension; every turn and lowered head seems to feel the resonance of loneliness and struggle, bringing a rich and multi-layered sensory and emotional experience to the audience. Program Introduction: "Entwine" ("縈") uses a creeping and light-tangling momentum to write the silent path-finding of life among thorns; following rotations and dim light forward, quietly breathing in the gaps. "That Urban Legend Only Heard Of" ("那個僅聽說過的都市傳說") takes "Ouija board" (Disc Immortal) as the source of inspiration. It is not just a game, but a projection of collective psychology. We always seek excitement in fear and find some meaning or outlet in excitement, letting the disc in hand gradually slide towards the uncontrollable unknown. "Three Degrees East" ("往東偏三度") You think you haven't deviated from the route, but you don't know that only a three-degree tilt is needed to knock open a southern phantom city that only quietly unfolds after deep night. "No Clue Either?" ("你也沒有頭緒嗎") For everyone who feels they haven't caught the rhythm of the times, and for everyone who wants to find resonance in chaos, after all, chaos and instability themselves are a kind of beauty. "Spring Colors • Embroidered Clouds" ("春彩•繡雲") The sky's clouds are gradually born in the human world, hand-embroidering cloud splendor, colored threads like rosy clouds. Using embroidery as the theme, based on physical rhyme and integrated with contemporary movement elements. "Somewhere" ("somewhere") The choreographer gently lifts the over-wrapped curtain with this work, allowing us to catch a slight glimpse of the real self still breathing among the gaps of heavy disguises. "Withered Fragrance" ("枯香") Using flowers as a metaphor for people, telling the beginning and end of life. The fragrance remaining after the flowers wither symbolizes the continuation of memory and emotion. Like burning incense, quietly rising and dispersing, leaving silent but profound marks. "In the Name of Being" ("以身為名In the name of being") This work is an extension of the "In the Name of Being" series. "Being" explores the issues of various ethnic and national wars in the world in recent years through the female body, news footage, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The dancers on stage are physical bodies composed of blood, bone, and flesh, and also carriers of human existence. One physical body after another is submerged by endless news footage. The world's disputes and disasters have never only existed in the news; the issue of human identity truly exists in the lives and existence of all corners of the world. "Being" contrasts the UN Declaration of Human Rights with today's international wars, political crises, and social injustice. Has the Human Declaration become a utopia? Through the work, identity issues are questioned, and viewers are inspired to reflect on their own and others' situations, while responding with an understanding and attitude that transcends frameworks.
