In addition to learning basic paper cutting knowledge, this course introduces Hakka-related totems, conveying Hakka paper cutting culture and the spirit of honoring heaven and ancestors.

【Dong Long Dong Long Chiang】 February 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 22, 27, 28
During the Lunar New Year, come learn about the differences in Lantern Festival celebrations across Northern, Central, Southern, and Eastern Taiwan. The "Bombing the Dragon" (火旁龍) blessing activity is a grand Lantern Festival celebration for Hakka people in the Miaoli area. Using firecrackers to blast the dragon for blessings, the sudden flashes of light and booming sounds make it the most powerful ritual of Lantern Festival night. It not only symbolizes welcoming spring and blessings but also preserves deep meanings of traditional customs and cultural inheritance, allowing tradition to be seen, felt, and remembered today.
Handicraft: Bombing the Dragon wind chime $50 each

【Hakka Blessing Fun】 (Lunar New Year) February 17, 18, 19, 20, 21
A jar of pickled mustard greens (福菜/Fucai) reveals the life wisdom accumulated over generations. Traditional Hakka pickling techniques use local mustard greens, following the seasons and making good use of preservation methods so that ingredients can be eaten long-term, reducing waste. It not only extends the flavor but also practices the "cherish food, respect objects" attitude toward life.
During the Lunar New Year period, you are welcome to visit the Taiwan Hakka Museum.
Handicraft: Fucai (pickled mustard green) bottle $50/set
