Date: 2026-01-01 — 2026-12-19 Organizer: (中華民國)文化部文化資產局;(中華民國)國立科學工藝博物館
Since 2021, the Bureau of Cultural Heritage has co-organized special exhibitions like "Diving into the Beauty of Water" and "Submerged Exploration: Taiwan" with the National Science and Technology Museum (#NSTM). This year, they join forces again to launch the third co-organized exhibition, "Tales of Warships in Flames – Underwater Cultural Heritage Special Exhibition." This special exhibition has toured the National Science and Technology Museum and the Kinmen Historical Folk Museum, attracting 60,000 visitors. The third stop returns to the Bureau of Cultural Heritage Park, bringing Taichung citizens more in-depth and solid stories of underwater cultural assets and a diverse, vivid exhibition experience.
This special exhibition focuses on "War and Shipwrecks," taking you through a time tunnel to dive into the seabed and cross through historical scenes!

Sneak peek at the four themed exhibition areas:
Taiwan's Naval War History | Floor-tread interactive projection witnessing naval battle scenes from the Ming and Qing Dynasties to WWII.
Taiwan's Shipwreck Stories | Immersive theater paired with a thrilling shooting experience to recreate the 1944 "Air Battle of Formosa," experiencing the moment ships sank.
Memories of War | First exposure of artifacts recovered from war shipwrecks, paired with 3D interaction to understand the stories of the artifacts and complete restoration missions.
Protection and Sustainability | Learn about Taiwan's important listed shipwreck sites and the rich underwater cultural assets in Taiwan's waters.
