Taoyuan City Story House Group Lighting Project II: Taiwu New Village—Light of Harmony, Taiwu Symbiosis 桃園城市故事館群燈光計畫II:太武新村-群和之光.太武共生 (20251225-20260308)
"Light of Harmony, Taiwu Symbiosis" takes the "calico cat," often seen as a symbol of protection and luck in military dependents' villages, as inspiration. It combines local art studios and community residents to jointly create a guardian of light for Taiwu New Village (太武新村).
Taiwu New Village continues to use art as a medium to connect the community, schools, and the land. This time, the lighting art installation "Light of Harmony, Taiwu Symbiosis" is set up in the park, specifically collaborating with Renhe Elementary School (仁和國小) for campus co-creation. Through the children's perspective and creative energy, it injects warm and pure light into the military village's night.
Starting from sustainability, the main lamp body uses recycled old plastic buckets. Through cleaning, cutting, and remanufacturing processes, waste materials are given new beauty and functionality. The light source uses low-energy LED strips and incorporates some solar panel configurations to reduce dependence on traditional energy.
The creative process emphasizes material circulation and energy self-sufficiency, echoing SDGs No. 7 "Affordable and Clean Energy" and No. 12 "Responsible Consumption and Production," demonstrating the sustainable value of eco-friendly materials in art that is both practical and symbolic.
