Exhibitions Now On
The Museum's Secret Room (博物館的秘室)
After more than a decade of archaeological excavation work, the quality and quantity of artifacts unearthed in Nanke (Southern Taiwan Science Park) have led to amazing discoveries.
The current archaeological excavation results in the Nanke Park categorize the unearthed specimens into four types: human bone specimens and their burial objects, ecological specimens, artifact specimens, and feature extraction specimens.
The exhibition space specifically presents museum artifact preservation and maintenance work that is rarely seen by the public.
Using the excavation process of burial remains from the Nanke archaeological site as an example, it illustrates the work carried out from on-site excavation to the maintenance and preservation process after entering the museum.
Organizing unearthed artifacts is time-consuming and requires significant human and material resources. Since its establishment, the Nanke Archaeological Museum (南科考古館) has required ample research results to further advance its exhibition plans.
