《穿越時空的航海家》 (The Time-Traveling Navigator)
New AR Reality Game
Unveil that 400-year-old secret with us!
Different from the "Project Dome" (穹頂計畫) series, "The Time-Traveling Navigator" (穿越時空的航海家) is Chimei Museum's (奇美博物館) first reality game with AR (Augmented Reality) functionality.
Players will play the role of a museum staff member and encounter Hans (漢斯), a navigator who has traveled through time to the modern era.
During the game, you must follow Hans's oral accounts to find clues in the permanent exhibition, then use your mobile phone and props to solve puzzles, in order to step-by-step uncover the truth of Hans's time travel!
Game Introduction
This game is designed as an extended concept of the 2024 "Tainan 400" (臺南400) celebration.
During the puzzle-solving process, you can not only learn about exhibits from various continents collected by the Chimei Museum,
but also be led by the story to understand the process of the Dutch East India Company's (荷蘭東印度公司) development in Taiwan around 1624, as well as influential historical figures from various countries in those years.
The story begins like this...
One day in the early morning, the sound of ocean waves suddenly echoed in the Chimei Museum, and the entire hall was shrouded in blue light.
A foreign man appeared in mid-air, then slowly descended to the ground along with the brass telescope beside him...
This foreign man called himself Hans, a navigator from the seventeenth century, but all other memories were lost.
Hans kept muttering to himself: "Please help me find those cultural relics; it will be too late soon..."
Just as you, the staff members on duty, were hesitating, the brass telescope beside him actually emitted a golden light...
