Timeless Fragrance - Chen Shih-chu (陳石柱) Nihonga Collection Exhibition / Soka Art

Based in Taiwan and depicting the natural scenery of the four seasons, Chen Shih-chu's (陳石柱) works radiate a vibrant sense of happiness and joy, sublimating pure, harmonious compositions and atmospheres into a fulfilling outlook on life. Following the 2013 Soka exhibition of Chen Shih-chu's Nihonga paintings, and in support of Soka's promotion of cultural and artistic education, Chen Shih-chu's family generously donated works to the Soka Museum of Art's collection in 2024. This "Timeless Fragrance—Chen Shih-chu Nihonga Collection Exhibition" selects works from 1951 to 2007, using three sub-themes to organize time points, creative intentions, and sketching beliefs, presenting the trajectory of Chen Shih-chu's lifelong Nihonga creation.
